The Party Season is upon us ladies so we though it only right to give you the low down
on the top trends this December. Whether it’s the office Christmas party, a family
gathering or simply something sparkly for the festive season you’re after here are our top tips!
1. Metallic’s
With the likes of Stella McCartney and D&G leading the way this Autumn/Winter, shine,
shimmer and sparkle is bang on trend. Here at LBD we constantly have or fingers on
the fashion pulse and naturally after London Fashion Week we trotted on down to
some of our favourite brands HQ’s to make sure we were in on the act. This December
we’ve gone all out, check out our ‘weekly window’ on our Facebook Page for the latest
glitz and glam. Liviana Conti in its third season is fast becoming an international name,
we particularly love the silver metallic party dress- a real head turner this little number
oozes Italian elegance with a festive, on season twist!
2. Print and Pattern
What a breath of fresh air this A/W ’11 trend was! Gloomy, winter browns, blacks and
navy’s are nowhere to be season or at least not without a splash of something extra!
The catwalks were inundated with quirky patterns and bright designs with the like of
Mary Katrantzou leading the way. One of our favourite designers Fehu has flown of the
rails due to its Versace style prints. Animal, jewel, you name it they’ve done it. For that
festive glam look we’ve chosen their beautiful long-sleeve black and jewel print dress-
a seriously sexy LBD with a high-fashion edge.
3. Knitwear
Here at LBD we just love our winter knitwear- jumpers, dresses, skirts you name it we’ve
got it. A favourite with the likes of Kate Moss and Fearne Cotton
Anonymous by Ross & Bute bring this seasons knitwear trends advocated by the likes of
Burberry and Ralph Lauren to our Boutique. This week we are loving their
metallic woven long sleeve dress- perfect for those office parties and festive family
occasions.
4. Boozy colours
They are the must have shades of the season- everywhere you look women are
wearing plums and burgundies- the so called ‘boozy’ colours. Here at LBD we
ourselves have been accessorising with some fab scarves and tights in A/W’s must
have colour. Our most popular brand Myrine & Me designed for real women takes into
account all our body hang ups creating great designs for all sizes. In honour of the
festive season we’ve chosen their beautiful ‘boozy’ red dress, its long sleeves, flowing
